The
Edit Reader page will appear identical for V2000’s, V100’s and Edge
Controllers. This
page contains options around the reader settings.
- Location:
Name assigned to the reader/hardware
- Reader Type:
Format of the reader/data type which the reader will us to
communicate to the controller.
- Access
Method: Determination of access method ex.
Card Only, PIN Only, Card and PIN, Card or Pin
Settings
- Normal
Access Time: Unlock
time in seconds for someone with valid access
- Extended Access
Time: Unlock time in seconds for someone with valid extended
access
- Door Held Time:
Time limit that after a door has been open for longer than will
trigger a Door Propped event.
- Anti-Passback
Type: Settings related to Anti-Passback in relation to cardholders
related to an Area Or Time
PIN Settings
- Settings
related to using dual authentication with readers requiring
users to use a card and a pin code.
- Settings depend
on type of reader installed.
Please verify settings with installer and support to
verify correct functionally.
Inputs
- REX (Request to
Exit) Settings relate to how you want the door hardware to
function in response to a REX action and to also verify in the
system how the REX is wired.
- Door
Contact Settings allow you to confirm how to the contacts (if
any) are wired so the system and controller can monitor them
correctly

- Internal database values for the object selected
History
- Events: Will
show events from the selected hardware in order they occurred. You cannot sort,
search or export from the history tab.
- Commands: see
an audit of commands that has been sent to the locks. Ex:
Lock, Unlock, Refresh Credentials, etc…
- Changes to
Device: An audit of changes that have made to lock and any of
its settings.
